That's like 2 weeks old, and it's generally not a point of concern. There's a 100% chance that the other two are also working on successors.

Hell, I think CliffyB said in his interview on Emergence Day said that Gears of War Two is going to be on the next Xbox.

This is typical and to be expected within a year of launch. Besides, they're probably going to do a 5 year cycle whether Nintendo and Sony like it or not.

Not only is Microsoft already working on Vista's successor, but also on the OS to be released AFTER that one.

Just because they start making it now doesn't mean it's coming out for like 4 years anyway.

it takes years to work on a next gen console...to improve and find research. PS2 had a lifespan of about 6-7 years. It'll take about 6 years for the XBOX 720 to come out. It's nothing to worry about, in fact you should be glad that there is all these rapid advances in graphics,memory enhancements, etc. If they waited a few years for the XBOX 360 to have some "gametime" then by the time another NEXT GEN console will be released it'll be too late. Sony did this with the PS2 and the PS3....except the original plan for a PS3 was to be like a PSP.

wtf...i seriously didn't post that. I'm not THAT dumb. And on the sidenote, just because they are researching for the new console doesn't mean it will be out anytime soon. If begun now, it'll probably take AT LEAST six to seven years for it to even be shown in public.
