Just upload your files the same way you would the music, at least I think that was what you are asking.

I kept all my class files on my digital camera until I got a flashdrive.

No. The only transferrable data is the videos from XBLM, and even then you have to have a Zune. You can make the 360 play your iPod, but it won't actually save it to the Hard Drive. Just plug in the connection cord for the iPod into the 360, and it'll read it and play it like a big CD, depending on if you select the right thing. It works just like your iPod, and it'll charge the iPod at the same time.
