Does Banjo-Kazooie exist?

Ever the hi-def trailer came out about thirteen months ago, there's been exactly zero updates I can find on Banjo on 360. Of course, I only looked at IGN, but I'm assuming they'd be as on top of things as anyone else. Does anybody know anything about this game? Does it technically exist outside of a trailer? Anything to ease frustration?

I said Worst Case Senario....

For Rare, Worst Case is still pretty Good, especially since they barely cancel Anything at all (Donkey Kong Racing is an exception, they couldn't do that for obvious reasons <_>)

I'm guessing Rare is working on it, but is keeping the media from seeing it.

Well, Rare's bound to be working on something. I mean, aside from VP:PA, I don't see anything on the radar. Probably have some big surprise cooked up.

Killer Instinct would be great.

Or a Conker....hell, ANY adventure game that doesn't play like they're still developing for the N64.

Conventional wisdom would dictate that, since they effectively skipped the last generation of consoles in terms of game production (you can count if Kameo if you so choose), they've been working their arse off on something dope. The trailer also agrees with this logic. It just strikes me as strange that since that time there's been nary an announcement that the project even exists. The buzz for it would be enormous, if only because the technology has advanced quite a bit since the days of N64 expansion packs or whatever that red thing you had to jack into the ol' box was.

It strikes me that Perfect Dark will struggle on the current-gen of consoles, as it's entire appeal was how tight the control was on a controller with one analog stick. That's not a problem anymore, thus the proverbial "magic" doesn't strike me as present any longer. Oh well.

Killer Instinct, on the other hand, would be nice as hell.

Yeah, that game was a mess. I still have fun playing it since I'm a PD fan and I like how you can choose what weapons you bring into a level, but other than that yeah it was awful compared to the first one.

And yeah I've been waiting for a Banjo Kazooie game too.

Personally, I got pissed at Rare when they switched over/bought out or whatever cause now they seem practically useless in my opinion. They made great Donkey Kong games for nintendo, great first person shooters, and their series Banjo Kazooie was great. But nothing in particular caught my eye since they have left Nintendo.

Hmm.. since I'm on the X-box forum, I better not bash the system as well lol. But yeah, I'm disappointed in Rare in general.

I think 'Viva Pinata' is terrific. I like it so much that I started a thread about it (one of maybe twenty threads I've ever made here at VGF since I started up seven years ago).

Well Rare certainly could have fooled me. Good news to know that it still exists somewhere in the bowels of 360 development, though Rare's denial didn't strike me as all that impressive. It's around though, so I guess that's all that matters.
