Opinion seems well-split among reviewers--none of the universal acclaim you sometimes see. Personally, I'm midway through Block 5 (about halfway through the game). I think it's pretty damned good so far. Of course, I also like crazy over-the-top swordfighting and sandbox-type gaming, so I might be excusing flaws others note. Still, though, that free-running and the actual assassinating looks like it's purchase-making. |

'Assassin's Creed' has a lot more in common with 'Just Cause' (and the GTA series, now I think of it) than with 'Halo'. |

I mean, there wasn't much in the way of stealth, medieval-ness, or Templars, but there was plenty of tank hijacking, base-jumping, guerilla assaults on military bases, jetboats equipped with missile launchers, and secret police getting shot in the face with Uzis while onlookers scream 'Mother of Christ!' and run off. Also, the last mission in the game involves a skydive-chase that culminates in the hero blowing up an old guy with a satchel charge and then parachuting to safety. (OMG SPOILAR. As if anyone here were going to pick up JC anyway.) Last edited by Booyakasha; 01-24-2008 at 07:53 PM. |

I was just saying how awesome AC is, not neccesarily comparing it to JC. |

It's like GTA and the movie 'Desperado' had a baby and raised it on a diet of raw meat and gunpowder. Just found out they're working on a sequel. That rules. |

That's because they already have a sequel planned Boo, supposobly it's the first part in a series. Personally I loved the game but I gave up on trying to find flags pretty early on in the game. I also love abusing beggars, I can't help it. | |
