I already own The Orange Box, Bioshock and Halo 3, so those are out of the question. *Duh.* Anyone? Anyone at all? |

But why not jump the shark and buy 'Just Cause'? It's loaded with fun crap to do, and you can get it for a song these days. (You might want to rent before buying, though--I don't know what kind of stuff you cats are into, and I don't want to hear a bunch of moaning later on if you prove too much of a dead ass to enjoy it.) |

The country has been taken over by a corrupt dictator. You play a CIA agent, working with rebel factions to destabilise the government and free the nation. It's a real sandbox title--there's a central storyline, but there's no real pressure to move it forward. Participate in a race here, lead an attack on a military base there: run guns to rebel cells, hijack helicopters, blow up coca fields belonging to rival drug-lords, or even just run around shooting everyone you see. It's like a marginally-less amoral GTA, with crazy-ass stunts thrown in for good measure. Damn good title. Last edited by Booyakasha; 01-28-2008 at 03:45 AM. |

Hence, Xbox. Seriously though, have you played anything RPG or adventure-like lately? The genre really wants your money. Needs it. |

Not to mention Lost Oddesey or Fable 2 (and while you're listing **** that hasn't come out, I notice you left off Too Human. Wyborn's going to flog you). Quote:
If you have live, Call of Duty 4 is good right now. Gears is fun. Problem with both is the short campaigns. Gears is more forgivable because it at least has co-op. Mass Effect is good because it combines shooter elements with an RPG (RPG like Knights of the Old Republic). The story is great, the universe is great, and there's enough in the game to keep you busy for 30+ hours. Oblivion is a massive time-sink. Story is lame, but there's so much to do that you can get around it. Dead Rising is pretty fun if you can get into it. Eternal Sonata is actually pretty good. Traditional JRPG mixed with a bunch of impressionist artstyles and music. Its hard to give suggestions without parameters. Last edited by Lurch1982; 01-29-2008 at 10:37 AM.
