but srsly, I want to say I think DC vs Mortal Kombat will be terrible, but honestly it might be a good game.

I just won't buy it, because I hate everyone I've seen from DC (except the Batman universe), and everyone from the Mortal Kombat universe, so...

Then F-Zero is a Racing/Action/Platforming/Fighting game.

Racing is obvious. Play F-Zero or watch a gameplay video of it if you think it isn't. :\
Action: collisions happen, stuff explodes, and the racing is a type of action.
Platforming: Your machines can jump from one part of the track to the other and back again... surely that's platforming.
Fighting: It's possible to use your machine to attack another, and destroy another machine... surely that's fighting!!!

... Seriously, I hope you see how silly my logic for F-Zero is and hopefully you'll see the same silliness in your logic for Halo.

Note: I don't believe F-Zero is a Racing/Action/Platforming/Fighting game at all. It's just a racing game to me.

DC's pushing for a lower rating, so a lot of the more gruesome fatalities are being toned down.

That includes the Joker's awesome one. The gunshot now occurs off-screen.

Okay, Midway, we want to do a crossover with your Mortal Kombat series. But first, we need to make a few changes:

First of all, no fatalities. In fact, no special moves, weapons or regular attacks. The characters will fight by jumping on things. Second, instead of different-themed stages, the maps will consist of sidescrolling levels featuring generic backdrop and floating ?-blocks. Third, the only characters will be Batman and Liu Kang, but they'll be wearing red and green plumber's outfits and be named Mario and Luigi.

We'll call it "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe".
