Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

So, more info has been released about this game recently. It's kinda...scattered, but thankfully our good friends at the Rare Witch Project have put up a list of things we know about the new BK game.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, What We Know

It's looking good so far, in my opinion. There's a clear emphasis on building stuff now, but from what I've read, the classic Banjo-Kazooie gameplay is still around.

The estimated release date is November 08. I should get a 360...

I'm actually looking forward to this.

Mostly because it's Banjo Kazooie, BUT ALSO because it is a great idea, that I hope they can make incredibly fun.

I wouldn't be so sure about it... it's a random gameplay change and a virtual series reboot handled by people inexperienced with the original properties.

First of all, mother****ing Mr. Patch.

Second of all, I need a 360 even more now. Not just for Threeie, but a large part is.

I... will respectfully reserve my judgment. But I will say, I am far from sold on this one.

Sorry to bump, but I figured this'd be as good a place as any--'Banjo-Kazooie' and 'Banjo-Tooie' are apparently headed for XBLA. Not terribly surprising, I know, but I've heard worse news.

Well, they need to let the people who never had a Nintendo 64 know what the series was.

Otherwise, people will think it's a new game, then be confused when we talk about "Banjo Kazooie"

Worse news? Now I don't have to deal with framerate on my emulator, this is good.

I heard via EGM that the illustrious Stop-N-Swap vaporware which was supposed to link the two titles together will also be in play? I think that would be cool, though I stil can't figure out how it would be implemented into the game mechanic. Exciting stuff.

^I notice only 'Banjo-Kazooie' is on the 360 release list over at GameFAQs--maybe they're planning on releasing the games together as a single download. That'd probably make stop 'n' swap easier to implement.

N64 emulator? I didn't know emulators have become so powerful.

On topic, I played the first Banjo on 64 and liked it. I played the GBA one and wanted to cram it into the developers' skull. While on fire.

Full details: Pre-order Nuts & Bolts, get a code for a free BK download off XBLA. Also: game is going to retail at $39.99. I see no downside to any of this at all.
