Rumor: Kmart flyer shows Sept. 7 Xbox 360 price drop - Joystiq

$199 for arcade bundle? Sounds badass, but a little too good to be true. If it is true, It comes out a week and a half before my birthdaaaaay....

I don't believe that rumor was true. The 20 giga is going to be drop and replaced with the 60 giga for like $347 or some where around that price. Plus, the arcade version is okay, but I have one and now it's got the red ring of death some how. Even though I got it back working for a little while. I have a fear that it will be going out again pretty soon.

Grr.. I hate this new marketing scheme. It has happened with Ipods as well if I recall. Nowadays you can't get something cheap, instead you have to buy the next up product that is more money because it contains features you most likely could live without. Unless of course you use other means such as ebay or amazon or something to find the discontinued products.

I was about to buy a new 20 giga like the day they sold out. Cause my Arcade 360 got the red ring of death...

So instead, I had to go buy a new 60 giga, but the big catch is they put the crappy unfinished products in the beginning. Then, later on sale you the good ones, if your breaks so they can make more money.

JUST IN!!! One of my friend called and told me that the Xbox 360 Arcade was in a Wal-mart sales paper for $199.92. He said that the paper said it came with a wireless controller, but I don't if this is world wide or just in my area. Since, they said supply is limited.

The red ring of death is one of the worst things about the xbox. I have had to get a couple different ones because of it--lately I have been ok. Something I have been excited about and wanted to tell you guys is about what mountain dew and the marketing company I am with put together. I also really hope xbox comes up with a solution to eliminate the rrod problem.

RROD happens mostly with older models. Newer ones aren't so bad for it.

I recently saw on an external link from Gamespot that around April-summertime PS3 was going to drop once again in price, and the 360 would follow suit if it did, to 149.99 for the Arcade, 249.99 for the Premium, and 349.99 for the Elite. Once can only hope.. My Launchbox died on me recently (had a good 3 year run) and I'm waiting for the Arcade to become real cheap so I can slap on my hard drive and take advantage of that HDMI port.
