My 360 RRoD'ed

So, is this just an inevitability for all 360's?

Haha. I mean that sucks. Then again, my 360 is being bad to me, and not letting me play any games on it.

Dude, I'm just glad I got to beat Resident Evil 5 before it died.

And if it's acting weird, apparently, that means it's headed down that hill. My brother kept complaining it would freeze every time he tried to play, up until it RRoD'd.

to prevent the RRoD keep your 360 in a well ventalated area and stick a cooling unit on it, to prevent overheat. also besure to keep the console dust free.

You have one cold, dust free house I presume.

Older models are more likely to RRoD; from what I hear, the newer chipset was designed to avoid the mechanical failure that causes it. Not to say a newer 360 won't RRoD; just generally not for the same reason.

I heard the RRoD rate is 54.2%. Meaning that if I buy four, one will certainly get it, and up to two may. I think.

No it only means 54.2 percent of your Xbox 360 will RROD. Note how two red lights are on and only a small fraction of that third ring is red. The other 55.8 percent of your Xbox360 is still playable, however.
