Huh. Awesome. When's the last time a Side-scrolling Beat-em-up was made?

I'm interested to see how it'll work when it's this Semi-3D.

^ Ironically, the most recent I can think of is the GBA version of TMNT.

Unhappy

It's too bad it's not being released for WiiWare.

Man, I'd pay full price for that as a disc-based Wii game. I love the TMNT brawlers.

^The people who loved the TMNT brawlers are the same people who remain Nintendo fans. It's totally beyond me why Konami isn't making this updated version available to us.

^ It was on the Arcade first. There are probably people who played that and never touched a Nintendo console.

Still, they should release it for everything.

Probably not, actually, since Nintendo was what all video gamers played back then.

Arcades were much cheaper back then, so there is a chance that people went to the arcades and didn't pick up any consoles.

I'm not saying that they wouldn't pick up a console later, but the possibility is there.

Metal Mario, that's not exactly fair to say, seeing as many current Microsoft/Sony fans still owned an SNES...seeing as Microsoft/Sony weren't around back then.

Also, there were TMNT brawlers for the Genesis--at least, there was Hyperstone Heist.

Also, Konami's a third party, which means they'll go to whoever they think can either give them the most money, best capabilities, or whoever their allegiance is with at the time.

Also, sure this is fanservice for oldschool gamers, but who says they're not trying to get a new crowd into the TMNT brawlers, too?

Also, many gamers these days are multi-platform, so this doesn't affect as many people as you would think.

That's exactly what I said. Nintendo was what everybody played back then, unless they wanted to take a chance on Sega's latest disaster.

Would you stop talking

I had a Nintendo growing up. I have an XBox 360 now. I loved the TMNT beatemups ever since I could beat the **** out of a minion with a single mashing of the button.

Also, I love how you totally dissed Sega. You're so rad.

Personally, I don't see how Sonic ever got a fanbase up and running. The whole point of the Sonic games is to run fast, right? Well, if you do that for more than two seconds in any of the games, you crash into an enemy and lose all your damn rings.

Actually, I think I recall there being some technique to go really fast and also not get hurt by enemies... what was it called? The spin dash, perhaps?

Wink YOUR DAMN RIGHT KNUCKLES.

Personally, I don't see how Mario ever got a fanbase up and running. The whole point of the Mario games is to jump alot, right? Well, if you do that for more than two seconds in any of the games, you jump into a pit and die.

Personally, I don't see how Legend of Zelda ever got a fanbase up and running. The whole point of the Zelda games is to explore, right? Well, if you do that for more than two seconds in any of the games, you run into an enemy and lose a heart.

Personally, I don't see how VGF ever got a fanbase up and running. The whole point of VGF is to voice your opinion, right? Well, if you do that for more than two seconds in any of the forums, you run into an facepalm and lose all your credibility.
