I've been musing, on and off, about getting a 360. It would be wickedsweet on my projector+enormous screen. Whether or not this purchase comes to fruition is irrelevant; I still want some input. What's your favourite game on the system, and why? What made it well worth the money? What games are really worth recommending? Thanks, doods. *thumbsup* |

The other 360 games we have are all just my younger brother's. I'd probably buy more games if I actually had money. |

I'm tempted to get a 360 because of the XNA development kit ability, and Bayonetta. I probably won't, though - it's too much money when I have yet to finish so many of my other games. Last edited by Kargath; 12-19-2009 at 09:35 PM. Reason: bulletpointfail |

Pick up games are pretty bad IMO. Same goes for Left 4 Dead. Second this. One of the huge selling points on Rock Band 360 (or PS3) is the weekly updates to the DLC store and that you can import all of the track packs plus RB1; which only requires a disc not a one-time use code so you can just rent it or borrow it. The only thing you can't import is RB Beatles. A few games I'd recommend: Shooters: Borderlands Halo ODST (comes with Halo 3 multiplayer) Gears of War 1 & 2 RPG: Lost Odyssey (classical JRPG) Mass Effect (closer to Knights of the Old Republic) Fallout 3 Oblivion (Fallout over Oblivion, but with either try to find the Game of the Year edition or whatever has all of the DLC so you don't have to buy it). Other: Ninja Gaiden II (hard, but fun) Fable II is fun, but pretty short IMO. Also, if you get one of the editions that comes with the Pub Games XBLA title, you can glitch it out and get a ton of money before even starting. Crackdown: Highly underrated, basically giving you Neo in the Matrix powers in a GTA style world. Last edited by Lurch1982; 12-20-2009 at 01:20 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I'll second 'Crackdown' in particular, since everyone and their grandmother will recommend all the others. My favourite game on the 360 is probably 'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts'. It did something few games in the past have managed (namely, calling for a combination of creativity and skill in the completion of challenges). You get to design crazy-ass vehicles from the ground up, essentially any vehicle you can think of. Most missions, you're allowed to rely on your own designs and try different things to accomplish the objectives---I found myself always tweaking my designs, trying such-and-such to reduce weight, improve traction, alter center-of-gravity...and, sometimes even just tossing it out entirely and coming up with something altogether new and different. There's a lot of meat on them bones, if that's your kind of thing. I'd also recommend the following--- 'Prince of Persia' 'Mirror's Edge' 'Viva Pinata' (any) 'Just Cause' 'Lost Planet' 'Dead Rising' |

I've heard very positive reviews for it. It's apparently supposed to be very much like Metroid, but with somewhat of its own feel. |

Surprisingly no one mentioned the Orange Box, though you may already have that, if not it's a must. Lost Planet is cool, but it's not for cause it's a third person shooter. Other than that what everyone else said were also very good games. Also X-box live is really good if you're into that stuff, (which I never use it on mine.) |

Devil May Cry 4, Oblivion and Bioshock have entertained me well. I think it's money well spent, and it'll continue to be so for me. |

50 bucks a year ain't all that much unless you have no job..... Most of the newer models you have a 2/10 chance of getting that ****, its like the PS3 is getting the YLOD on the 60 gig models.... To OP: If you get a 360 or PS3, you're getting your money's worth, much better choice then getting a Wii unless you wanna play Mario and Sonic at the winder olympics with little 5th graders ![]() | |

If you like those genres I say definitely go for it. It also has other good stuff, fun games all around. The problem is that they have a tendency to red ring, or just plain break down like ours decided to. They have some pretty decent games, but they also have technological problems. |

And 360 has a nice variety of genres, but the most prominent are shooters and rpgs. You can't go wrong with Rock Band games, and the mountains and mountains of dlc. You'd be safe getting either the PS3 or the 360, both consoles are great. But the 360 would definitely be a good investment. |
