Very chilling atmosphere. It's been awhile since I actually got scared playing a game. It doesn't help that the demo ends at the worst possible moment. And then it manages to make you feel bad about not buying the full game. Most reviews peg it at around 6 hours long which may seem like little for a roughly $15 game. The same reviews, however, have been giving it universal acclaim. So, try the trial out, see what you think. I was overall pretty impressed, so I think it's a buy. Bough it, beat it, great investment of time and money in my opinion. Yes, it was short, but I'm not 100% done yet. Ironically, I felt that the game got less scary and more reality-bending when THE BOSS is done with. Regardless of any criticism I have regarding length or scare factor, manly tears were made. I'll spoiler tag in depth discussion of the game. I'd finish the game before looking at any of this stuff, seriously. THE BOSS: THE BOSS was a giant spider. There's a reason why the game gets less scary after it's done: you get it hit by a giant boulder, but it survives with one leg. You then proceed to rip the leg off and use the body as a platform. Holy ****. THE MANLY TEARS: So the kid, after finishing the last puzzle and smashing through a magic wall or something, manages to find his sister, and the game blacks out before anything else happens. Kind of a mysterious ending, but hey it's happy right? The credits finish, and you're back at the title screen. The truth you see hurts. LOOKING AT THE STORY: So yeah, the game literally takes place in Limbo. The kid and his sister died but their souls are separated in Limbo, so they can't move on. Let's say that the sister was unaware of her fate: thus she's just playing with flowers. The kid goes through everything, and finds her. Reunited, they can move on. That's how I see it, anyway. so yeah, great game. Last edited by X-3; 07-26-2010 at 03:14 AM. | ||

Now I'm not so sure, but I wouldn't buy an Xbox just for an XBLA game. |
