Super Mario Crossover

This is a Flash version of the original Super Mario Bros. in which you can choose to play as either Mario, Link, Samus, Mega Man, Simon Belmont, or Bill Rizer (Contra). The game actually plays really well, and the variety between the characters makes it pretty fun. It's definitely worth a look.

It's making its rounds around the blagosphere. It fascinates me how these sort of things are disseminated from the source (one guy who uploaded a Flash game somewhere).

I would guess, based on their policies, that the Newgrounds version was uploaded by the original designer.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I love this concept and game. Nintendo should just take all these games (metroid, link, castlevania, etc) and smoosh them all together into one giant game that you can play as any of the characters. I'd play the crap out of that.

Also, there have been updates since this was posted. Now there's more characters, different character skins, different graphics styles, and certain play mechanics have been brought in from the other characters' games.
