So, I'm on a little vacation. Specifically, a weekend in Las Vegas followed by three weeks in Seattle, Washington, hitting the Penny Arcade Expo along the way. I'm staying with my uncle while I'm here, who got me into gaming in the first place. He doesn't really keep up with it anymore, however, he does collect vintage gaming systems, buying tons of stuff off Ebay. He's never even played most of it, he just had it in boxes. These boxes were sitting in the room I'm sleeping in, and I took the liberty of setting everything up. I took a break from playing to snap some pictures of this collection.

There's the handhelds. Roll call- Virtual Boy x3, GBA x2, GBC, Gameboy Printer, Atari Lynx, Neogeo Pocket x2, Wonderswan, Wonderswan Color, Sega Game Gear.

A close up of some of the handhelds.

And of the Lynx.

This is the primary setup of the room. VCR, DVD Player, DirectTV, Phillips CD-I x2, Panasonic 3D0, SNES x3, Sega Genesis with 32X and Sega CD, Atari Jaguar with Jaguar CD, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast. (He has a Nintendo 64 as well, but he lent it and most of the games and accessories to his girlfriend's kids. So, not pictured.)

Closeup on the consoles. Above the Genesis there is all instruction booklets. He's got em' for at least 60% of the stuff, even the really old games.

The controllers.

Annnd in this corner...NES, TI, Sega Master, Atari 7800, TurboGrafx 16 and Bally Arcade.

Second verse, same as the...well, you know. Closeup of these consoles.

Controllers for the older systems...we've certainly come a long way.

Finally, the games. That whole binder there is packed.

Little bonus image, all the swag I picked up at PAX. Everything except the Baby vs. Rhino tee shirt was free. On the ground is a big Guild Wars poster, it wouldn't fit in the picture. If you want to know more about PAX, I've got some basic impressions of the event coming to VGF soon. More pictures, too, I just took this one after I sent those in. So, that's all. Hope you enjoyed it. I'm gonna get back to playing games now.

Very cool, with the exception of the fact that he has 3 Virtual Boys. I mean, people that are going to play them should have them. If you're a collector, one is cool. But 3? Especially if you don't touch them?

Hey, do you think he would mind sending me a bunch of that? Like, all of it? Well, he can keep two virtual boys.
