To start off, I have two wonderful cats. The problem is that they're both female and they've attracted a male. Both our cats are terriffied of it and afraid to go out. It's peeing on everything to mark it's territory. And basically we can't get rid of it. It's not afraid of people so we can't even chase it off. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it, (other than harming it or taking it to the pound)?

Yeah, that's a tough one. Cats do whatever they want, and there's no stopping them.

Have you tried threatening to hit it with a broom?

Try attracting the cat with CatNip to a different corner of the neighborhood, or using orange peel to keep the cat away because cats hate the smell of orane.

If you see the male, spray it with Lysol air freshener or Windex (major cat irritators, but neither is really fatal). Eventually it should get the picture and go away.

Are your girls fixed? I'd be surprised if they were, because we've had a female cat for a long time, fixed her almost right after we got her, and she's never attracted horny males.

We got two more females (one was took in after a dog slaughtered the rest of her family and bit her tail off, the other got dumped off in front of our hose), and one of them was loring one of our big boys until we got her fixed.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

We had that once. Our solution was to take our sweetie and have her sterilised. (Also, she's a siamese... and she liked to 'talk' loudly and every two seconds in the middle of the night when a tom was hanging about.) Male cat problem went away after that. Good luck getting rid of your hassle.

Yes, they're both fixed. Most animal shelters around here won't even give you an animal unless you sign a contract saying you'll have them fixed within a certain time frame. Population control.

Well, the male cat finally disappeared last night and hasn't returned. Hopefully we won't be seeing him again.
