I don't think Microsoft makes CPUs; I know you probably mean computer systems, but as a computer-ish guy, I'm kinda miffed by this sort of misnomer.

I've a P3 866MHz as my main machine (Yuffie). Cloud and Avelon are both P4s outside of my room; I've also a laptop, Roll, with a P4. As a brief history lesson, I had Aeris, a P2 200MHz, and an ol' 486 @ 66MHz.

ASUS A7V600 motherboard
AMD AthlonXP 2200 (1.8ghz) CPU
80gb Western Digital IDE HD
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb video card
DVD-ROM, CD-R/RW, and a regular 52x CD-ROM drive
580w PSU
19" monitor
7 fans total
WindowsXP Professional
...and some colored (mostly red) lights inside.

If I had the money (which I don't) I would be getting duel CPU motherboard with two Xeon or Opteron CPUs, or a s939 AMD Athlon64 CPU.

Anyway... no Microsoft doesn't make CPUs. Both Intel and AMD are the major (those might even be the only two companies - I've never heard of any others) CPU manufacturers; but yeah, I guess you meant operating system. Mac or Windows.

Gee, and I thought I was the only one that named computer parts. Only I name hard drive partitions instead of processors/boxes.

When you have more than one computer around, I find it less drab using a proper name than just referring to it with a qualifier (someone's computer, the P4 upstairs, etc.); you need a computer name if you're in a Windows network anyways, so why not use it? Plus, it makes it easier to name the various other things related to the computer; partitions named after their Limit Breaks/attacks, shared peripherals named after their weapons.

Or maybe I just have a thing for names.

My computer is a hewlet packard. Nothing at all good about it. It's from like 5 years ago and won't run any new games.
