.....I will probably not be here very often, but I will be here on weekends. So don't throw any parties and such until the weekends. Otay? Yes, panfan, I know you don't care, and you too dekugorozor, but someone might.

P.S. Middle school is hard. VERY HARD. VERY VERY VERY HARD.

... Listen here, if you want to talk about hard, you obviously haven't gone through much in life. =/ I'm in my second week and final week of band camp. We've been going about non-stop from 8 to 12 and 1 to 3 (1 to 5 last week), and school doesn't start until next Wednesday. Plus, I'm only a Sophmore.

Middle School is chum change compared to High School. Plus, my eighth grade year was probably the easiest of all my school years.

Where the hell did Middle School come from? I thought it was just elementary, high school, college. That's how it is over here (although what's comparable to American high school is actually called middelbare(=middle) school over here).

Speaking of college, I don't start until the 5th of September

I start the first Tuesday of September. Like Koga, we don't have middle school here either. (Kindergarden-8, then 9-12) Not that it matters, I'm going into grade 11.

Koga, it's something like grades 6-8 is a seperate school. Big waste of money if you ask me.

Here's how my school district goes: Elementary School (K-3), the school after Elementary School (4-6), Middle School (7-8), and High School (9-12). My school district is completely off the wall. It's almost as if they have too much money and nothing to do with it, so they just build more schools.

In like two weeks for me.

Here it's K-6=Elementary school, 7-9=Jr. High and 10-12=High School. This year though we'll have a real 12th grade, since last year we had like 2 or 3 Seniors who were graduating from another high school .

And why is 11th grade JUNIORS? If you call an 11th-grader in Canada a Junior you'd get your ass kicked in a heartbeat.

That's how it was for me, too....but I did Catholic school until entering college last year.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Starting college sometime next week...

yeah, in the US it is K-5(elementary), 6-8(middle), then 9-12(high)

what's funny is there are four terms for HS students in my area:

9th grade: Freshmen
10th grade: Sophmores (Get a small paper shield to wear around their neck)
11th grade: Juniors (get a paper J to wear around thiers)
12th grade: Seniors (Wears a painted BK crown)

That's everywhere... Well, without the odd baubles.

In "my" school system, I had to go to "intermediate school" for 5th and 6th grade. That was because the middle school and elementary schools were not large enough to house the extra grades.

While it does not correlate to school, those years (94 and 95) were my favorite. SNES was still out, Super Gameboy was released, and oldschool PC gaming was going strong. And I still had recess.

We started Monday but this next Summer is going to be awesome, The Endless Summer, if you will- we get out like May 25th (usually early June) and we don't go back until after Labor Day because of construction on the school and stuff.
