I was kinda put off from giving blood by the old blood drives that my high school used to have. It was horrible, the people running it had no clue what they were doing. People would come out of that room with their entire arm bruised up, often times with considerable amounts of blood on their cloths. One guy had them put the needle in wrong and he sprayed blood everywhere. A few people said that the staff forgot about them and they had to yell for a few minutes to get their attention. There were plenty of other stories too, some of them worse.

I have O+. I think it's by far the most common. I think O- is the least common, which sucks for them since that's the only blood type they can recieve if they ever need it.

Actually, O- is very good for donations since anyone can take it.

I can't remember what mine is, and I don't feel like looking for my donor card, but I give once a year around Christmas.

Anybody can take their blood type but they can only take O-.

I give blood only on two occasions:

1. I am required to do so by California law for purposes of proving that I am not under the influence of alcohol while I drive.

2. I am required to do so by California law because I have to prove that I have not smoked any marijuana in the past 48 hrs. as part of either a drug testing for a job or by a police officer who thinks I was driving high .......
