Welcome everyone to the 8th Annual VGF Awards. I'm your host....Andre, and me and my co-hosts (Saeed and random l33t members) will be checking in periodically to update you on the standings.

Over the past week and a half, our l33t staff has put blood, sweat, tears, and Knux into choosing the nominees, and ladies and gentlemen, we have those nominees and categories here for you tonight. After you've read the nominees, you can PM myself, Koga, or Deathsyche (Bender avatar) with your vote, remember, one per category.

We'll start off small, and go big. So here to present the first groups of nominees to you, VGF's own, Malik!

Starting with the Sporting event of the year:

Malik: This isn't the ESPYs, we know, but we decided to put in a Sports Event of the year category, and the nominees are:

The World Cup 2006 (Ending with [Italy] v. France Finals)
Winter Olympics
Superbowl XL ([Pittsburgh] v. Seattle)

We also have a music forum that doesn't get much use anymore, however, we still had a song of the year category, and the nominees are:

Continuing with the entertainment industry, we go into Movie Of The Year, and the nominees are

That concludes the entertainment categories, now we'll take it to NintendoNut with the Features Categories

Nintendo Nut: As we know, Shane has gone very insane with many additions to VGF, and this year's awards will hold categories to acknowledge those zany additions.

Best Avatar: Many VGFers try and out do each other with their avatars. Some have been outrageously funny, some have just been....er, nothing special. So, I present to you, the nominees for best Avatar.

No need to worry about missing it, it'll be presented little by little, starting at 1 PM EST that day.

You should really try and put it into a format that's easier to just copy and paste without grabbing the whole elaborate post. I might later on. Otherwise, I don't think a lot of folks will want to go to the effort of trimming it down theirselves.
