Actually herbal medicines have been proven to help treat conditions otherwise uncurable by modern medicines. I remember reading that in AP Psychology! Also, try to get her into acupuncture therapy! It can help the body release endorphines which act as the body's natural pain killers. I guess AP Psych was actually good for something! Just make sure that she is willing to go with the medicines and treatments as there can be a placebo effect too.
