The tree still stands at the slums of Bastaku. As I don't have a picture of it (yet), it rains an eye-candy plethora of lavender-colored leaves. Coincidentally, it just so happens that lavender was Rory's favorite color. Which is why the color of the ribbons on the gift Yamagura gave to her on her newly-discovered birthday that held the photo of Rory she got from Aiko are--surprise--lavender.

I have no idea how Yam found out about her favorite color though. Mindy probably told her.

The girl needs a damn hobby besides nosing around, I swear.

I would base the tree's sudden springing into life on coincidential poignance (just like in the movies). Poignant since, as you already know, Rory cared for Cream in the three of the most happiest years of her life after she was released from jail. Yes, Nocturnal was not kind to her.

The tree sprung forth through the magic of biology, HotD. Jesus, watch the Discovery channel more, will you? Lavender, because it's a nice color.

Cream knew because Rory told her one day while traversing the outskirts of Way Town looking for food and shelter when he saw a similar lavender tree. He just pointed it out because he's kind like that. Yes, like Bomb. Kind like Bomb. Gentlemanly like Bomb.

The three years Rory and Cream spent was tumultuous at first, since Cream was still in the stage of being a cold-blooded, cold-hearted, cold-shoulder killer, but Rory was sweet enough to spend the years hard at work melting Cream's heart (sounds tasty).

Jail was not as traumatic, since she learned about the advantage of being good there, ironically.

Well, it looked dead. I guess it wasn't. A f***ing zombie tree, that's what it is.

Eh, sure. We can catch up on Steve Irwin reruns...rest in peace.
