That's right! The next issue of EGM is going to feature Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron III as the leading subject. Please note, however, that the game's name has not been officially confirmed by LucasArts or Factor 5. Nevertheless, this means that we now know what the next LucasArts and Factor 5 Star Wars project is. It also clears up the previously "secret" title Factor 5 had planned for GameCube.

For those of you who are not familiar with the first GameCube Rogue Squadron title, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, it was considered to be one of the best launch games for Nintendo's console. It showcased the mighty power and sound capability of the GameCube. In the game, you could play alongside Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles to relive some of the Rebel Alliance's finest moments.

If you're an avid Star Wars fan, you'll know that many of the game's missions were taken directly from classic Star Wars scenes, such as Death Star Attack and Battle of Hoth. However, some missions, like Raid on Bespin and Vengeance on Kothlis, cover less-famous exploits of the Rebel Alliance, which didn't receive as much screen time.

Details are scarce at the moment. Nothing concrete has been revealed about the game yet.

I'm really hoping it is based on the Expanded Universe space battles, the Yuuzhan Vong, Grand Admiral Thrawn, other battles? That would be awesome. I'm bloody sick of blowing up the Death Star.
