Beginning May 4 and continuing through July, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will be added to the Nintendo GameCube bundle promotion. Consumers who purchase a Nintendo GameCube (manufacturer's suggested retail price $149.95) can choose one of the following games for free - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Adventures, or Mario Party 4.

Also on May 25, Nintendo will be introducing a demo disc as part of the bundle promotion.

It's unknown at this time what games will be featured on the disc, or if you have to purchase the bundle to receive the disc.

I find this a bit odd, since by May 4, The Wind Waker will only be a little more than a month old. On the other hand, it's being rumored that Microsoft is going to cut the price of the Xbox, and this could well be Nintendo's way of counter-attacking.

No legs but a good promotional tool nonetheless. I don't see how a bundle would suffice if Microsoft and Sony come down to $150, though.

We're already being offered the Metroid Prime package... it looks great too. I have no idea if it's helping Ninty's cause here though. .
