I don't think so, but apparently '857,712' is the amount of posts that currently exist. It might actually be the all-time total, but I doubt that.

VGF has been involved in a number of crashes over the years, along with server moves, pruning old topics to save space, deleting inappropriate posts/topics, occasionally having a Mod freak out and delete everything from their forum and changing from ubb to vB. Thousands of posts have been lost along the way, so no, it's not possible to find out how many have ever been made.
