You should take every threat over the internet as absolutely serious as possible. Any time you are threatened you should probably check into your Witness Protection Program and move to another state and change your name. That's what I do anyways.

He sent me a disturbing picture, I'd rather not post it here, but yeah, he's going to kill me, and he has a gun.

^If he knows who you are, and you know he, then you need to report his behavior to the authorities. If he can actually track you down, you have to talk to someone, because once the person making the threat is actually collared and faces ramifications for his actions, he'll be a lot more likely to cut it out.

I would un-friend him, then set your profile to private so he can't contact you anymore. And then, report him, because he's harassing you.
