| Senior Member | What snow? Over here, there isn't an inch. It'd be helpful if there was, so I could take tommorow off. (Even a delay would make me take tommorow off, as I only have 1 exam) |

Last week up at school we had one heck of an ice storm; the trees were beautiful & dangerous, like Rachel from Animorphs. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

We're in for two days of "wintery mix" as well. I look forward to continually scraping ice off my car and shoveling a clearance in the road, as the plows up here are about as useful as dead batteries. |

| We drove 66 miles to play in the snow!! It was magical beyond words!!! We played at Arrowhead and near Big Bear. I loved it... even the drive home in cloud that reduced visibility to around 25 feet. Wow... I'm measuring things in imperial really well, now!!! ![]() | |

I think the bulk of the damage is done for now. It's snowing again, but it shouldn't amount to much. The good news is that they finally appear to have sorted out the plowing. 6 days later. I've never seen a situation in which they were completely incapable of plowing entire lanes for this long. Not that the 10 feet mounds of snow make driving safe either. Ironically, as I was about to submit this post, I turned on the TV. There's a news story about an accident between a plow and a truck. __________________ A bird in the hand will just keep pecking and pecking and pecking and pecking... until your hand starts to bleed. |
