Enough with the Snow Already

We had a ridiculous 10 inch storm that caused complete chaos on Thursday (DOT had plenty of warning but was poorly prepared regardless), and I woke up this morning to another 6 inches. Where's this global warming I've been reading about?

It never snows here. We tend to get bitterly cold weather on some days and oddly warm weather on other days, but we never quite get this fabled 'snow' everyone talks about.

So far I've only had to de-ice my car five times this December. Normally I've at least done that twenty times last year. Plus I don't think I ever saw any snow either last year, nor this year so far (Not in the winter months at least).

They're also saying Tyhoons and Flood on christmas day here too.

This is South Dakota, though. We still haven't got the electricity back up. We have a buffalo in my backyard helping to produce power via treadmill.

Down here in Columbia, we were promised a HUGE snowstorm, and guess what we get? A few drops of FROZEN RAIN! Damnit, I prayed like, 4 times for the slightest bit of snow. I guessed AT LEAST 5 inches of snow, and we don't even get a flake.

Because I live on the coast of Maine we got the winds from the beaches causing huge snowdrifts. Coastal Maine sucks as we get the heavy snow AND the cold cold winds blowing the snow against everyting making getting out of your house impossible. I had to climb out my second floor window downstairs to clear out my front door.
