I went with three kids from my rowing team. We didn't have any real clue what to expect. All we knew was that Grave Digger would be there, which is supposed to be some famous truck or something. So we were going to make the best of it, whether or not it was any fun. We get some old clothes, dirtied them up, and cut holes in them as if we were going to a costume party... with monster trucks. The venue was in Hartford (CT), a fair drive from school. It started snowing as we got closer, so I was just sitting in the car with only a muddy T-shirt and shorts thinking of what an idiot I am. We managed to park pretty close to the arena though, so I didn't have to freeze my kiester off for too long. When we got there, almost everybody else was dressed completely normally, and we were a little confused by this. In the end, it was more fun that way. We looked like morons, and we knew it, so we completely played it up. Whenever we were just walking around, we were constantly shouting "GRAVE DIGGER!!!" and high-fiving each other. Some of the little kids, of whom there were many, were visibly worried about us. One of my friends was really drunk, so he understandably felt like a jack*** about frightening the children. I just thought it was hilarious. The actual show was pretty fun. In all honesty, what isn't fun about watching giant trucks walk over cars on just their back two wheels? There wasn't any major breakage of the trucks themselves, which was a bit disappointing, but shouting like idiots whenever Grave Digger was crashing into things made up for it. There's some sort of obviously rigged contest between all of the trucks that uses a completely inane scoring system, but no-one pays attention to that. We also got to see a motorcycle pull of a backflip at halftime, which is a lot more impressive in real life than it is on TV. In the end, for mindless entertainment, the whole experience was a really good time. If you ever get the opportunity to see one of these things, I say grab some friends and go for it. |

| I'm glad you enjoyed it!!! Reminds me of my experience!! ![]() I went to the Perth show late last year and surprisingly, I had more fun than I expected. The monster trucks were good entertainment!! I saw the truck called Monster Patrol USA (I assume that is usually based in the US and was visiting Australia...) and a 15 year old driving one of them which was pretty impressive. BUT. The fireworks show was honestly soooooo cool and the BEST fireworks show I'd ever seen... and the noise of fireworks exploding in a surrounded arena is more than I knew was possible. ![]() | |

Grave Digger was there, as were Truckasaurus and (of course) Bigfoot. After the monster trucks and crazy-ass stunts, they had a demolition dirby. It was pretty sweet. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

| JESUS SAID | Damn it, was I the only one where the entire experience was races? Because races are lame. __________________ ![]() L2R: Alex, Max, Bitch, Ethan, I'm not sure she has a name. |
