Flying Lessons!!!

I'm feeling particularly happy (and loopy, maybe??) and decided those they do not want to eat the marshmallows, should take some flying lessons with me...

It's two reaaaallllllly easy steps. And, if at first you don't succeed, then PRACTICE!!!

Ready...

Step 1. Jump...

Step 2. MISS THE GROUND!!!

See how easy it is...??

Now you try it and report back to us (IN DETAIL) how great it went!!! Otherwise, please take a strawberry marshmallow!!

I failed at the missing the ground part and broke my arm; I thought it would be best to try this experiment from the roof of my house. Anyway, I demand ~~apologies~~ bribery in lieu of a pending lawsuit.

Well...

I kept jumping and jumping and jumping and jumping...

Long story short, I was jumping more often than Mario and my accuracy for hitting the ground is 100%. Then, after more than a few (about 100!) failed attempts, I tried a new approach. I jumped with my body parallel to the ground...

I'm never gonna make that mistake again. I landed flat on my face and it hurts like heck...

*sigh* I wanna fly!!!!!

If I recall from The Guide, you're supposed to do surprising things when we jump, such as light firecrackers and place foreign pieces of luggage within view. =\

I only ever read HGttG but I got the same impression with several of the sequences in that book.

I once thought about having lessons in order to be able to control an aircraft, CSM, but I always seemed to have an excuse why I should spend the money/time on other things!!

I liked the babel fish in HGttG!! I might pass on the Vogon poetry, however... it might not be cool for a Faerie.
