Post Easter Eggs

No, not the eggs you dye, easter eggs in video games. Easter eggs are some of the coolest things you can find in a video game. What are your favorite easter eggs?

I like the cake and getting outside thing in Portal. Watch and Learn!

I also like the Chris Houlihan in Lttp. best prize for winning a contest. Ever.

In GTA, atop the Red bridge was a sign saying, "There is nothing up here, go back down."

The pictures of Nintendo characters in Zelda: Ocarina of Time (look through the right window in the room with Zelda in the castle) was cool. (shoot it with a slingshot bullet for $20!)

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Some integrated circuits have some spare space lying around, so they use that space to imprint various humorous images like Marvin the Martian or whatnot. If you have a very high power microscope and some ICs just lying around, you can look for some. Apparently, Waldo is really hard to find when he's only 40 microns across.

The GTA games have tooooo many Easter eggs too count, they're all brilliant.

Easter Eggs aren't only in games, they're in everything.

Mircosoft Excel (can't remember which version) had this little sort of video game hidden in it. You used the mouse to fly, and you could find a little sea area, and credits about who made Excel.

In British Sci-fi series, Red Dwarf, there is a Tradis (used in Doctor Who) hidden in a scene. Does that mean that the Doctor was on board of the Dwarf???

The decapitated bear head in the refrigerator in the movie Borat.

The dude that chucks a bomb at you if you shoot the window in the Castle Courtyard in OoT.

The poster of the OoT fisherman in TP.

The Bowser brooches on Malon and Talon in OoT.

...and many more that fail to reach me right now.

There's a 2001 VGF Easter Egg hunt picture and link hidden somewhere on SMBHQ/NC.

I forgot where exactly, it was hilarious seeing it still there.

Basically any Blizzard strategy game has amazing easter eggs in it. (Warcraft II disco and exploding sheep FTW)

I particularily like the Humiliation danger move in Killer Instinct.

In Paint:
To use 10x zoom, select the magnifying glass icon. Left-Click exactly on the line below the 8x. It's easiest to do this when you've already got 8x selected.

DVD Easter eggs are pretty awesome, too. Best example is the And All That Could Have Been dvd by Nine Inch Nails:

Quote:
Ton of easter eggs here...

Most of the eggs are available via a hidden menu on Disc Two. In order to get to it, during "Head Like A Hole" at around the 11:20 mark, hit 7 on your remote. You will then be dropped into the secret menu called "Beneath The Surface" where the following eggs appear:

-"Reptile" live performance
-Video for "The Day The World Went Away"
-ninetynine commercial
-"The Fragile" commercial
-"Things Falling Apart" commercial
-NIN and Marilyn Manson doing part of "Star****ers" and "Beautiful People".

Some other easter eggs are as follows...

-On Disc One, while "Gave Up" is playing near the 26:58 mark, press enter on your remote. You then get a wide shot of the stage for the song.

-During the beginning of the performance of "Gave Up", hit ENTER a bunch of times. Keep hitting ENTER and you should eventually be taken to a camera's angle of the song from the crowd's point of view.
Anyone know any good website easter eggs? At the NothingandNowhere.com, you can do these:

Quote:
Home: Click Menu, click Contact, close the contact window and quickly click on the kite. Click the ‘?’ key on your keyboard. I'm not sure what is supposed to happen after that.

Lyrics: Click Menu, click Lovers End, scroll through all the lyrics. Close the lyrics window and take notice of the flowers that have appeared just behind the girl. One of the flowers can be clicked. Reveals beautiful artwork by Chibi.

Images: Move your cursor just above the pointing hand until you see a red star. Click on the red star. The purple circle in the upper right hand corner disappears. Click the area where it used to be. Reveals ‘KISOU’ the cat.

Music: Move your mouse near the bottom right hand side of the animation to make bubbles. When a red bubble appears, click on it. Reveals spooky loop music.

Concept: Click Menu, click Concept. Notice “magic stars" shoot from the child's wand. Click on the area where the stars disappear. Reveals first grade photos of TBM band members.

Only website one that springs to mind is the Super Secret Bovine Bonus over at Rareware.com, back before they got bought out and redesigned the place.

On the MxPx website, there's a little symbol at the top-left of the flash banner. If you click it, a rocket will fly out of a hidden hatch. The rocket then shatters the band members' photo and reveals a link to Pokinatcha.com. Try it.
