They aren't properly taught that general fluids can't hydrate them the way water can. After all, you're a kid, you say, "I'm thirsty" and your parents will give you juice or milk or something else. This doesn't present itself noticably- they get other health problems instead. |

I never do know why I am this way, though, as I generally eat anything I want and often more in an attempt to gain weight. Perhaps it is metabolism? |

 | It's been said, but I will repeat it... I drink filtered water most of the time... and when I am out and run out of water, 99% of the time, I will buy bottled water, as opposed to most every other option. Water is my favourite beverage!!  |

But, most people know that here they need to drink plenty of water anyway. It helps if you've learned your lesson by being hospitalized for dehydration before, though. =/ |
