unless were on vacation somewhere we don't buy bottled water, we have one of those fountain-thing on the front of the fridge. hurrah!

Bottled water tends to taste nasty to me anyway, I swear some of it tastes like metal.

Too much flouride will cause tooth deformation as it is forming, if you're young.

I am 19, though I've been like this (only a little shorter) since I was 12-ish.

^You need to gain some muscle boy! I'm 19 and I weigh 152 pounds at 5'11". It's kind of unusual for a 19 year old boy to weigh so little. Do you work out often? Eat some more, drink plenty of water (ironic I know), and exercise to build out your body. I know it's probably not my place to say it since I don't know you in person but you will regret it later in life if you don't start working out early.

He may be ridiculously exothermic and have a fast metabolism. It could be extremely hard for him to gain muscle or retain fat.

I'm completely the opposite, it's easy for me to put on muscle, but it's ridiculously hard for me to shed fat.

I dunno. I exercise, I gain muscle.

I still weigh 115-ish.

Heck, I can run like a madman. I can run about 4-8 blocks straight before I get winded.

Of course, that's at top speed.

I eat everything I can and it isn't enough; whatever I do, it is the same. I tried healthy and unhealthy; it is probably that exothermic thingy.

I'd probably be an absurd athlete if I tried, even though (ironically) I don't care for that sort of thing. The only thing really off is I'm a bit shorter than I was said to supposed to be--6'4", but whatever. I'm tall and lanky as it is, any taller just exaggerates the effect.

I'm fairly certain it isn't, if only because of the rigid divide between the city & county.

You probably have a really high metabolism though, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were meso but leaned toward the whole exothermic side. Also, if you want to gain weight, you don't need to do it by eating unhealthy foods. Someone who is only 120 pounds but eats a ton of cheeseburgers and whatnot is as likely to die from a heart attack as one who is 220 and eats the same thing.

If you REALLY want to gain weight you just need to start eating more of healthy foods.

USDA - CNPP - MyPyramid Tracker

Is a really good site that lets you take a look at what you're eating and what they do for and to your body. All in all, the formula for weight loss or gain is really simple:

If you wish to gain weight, take in more calories than you expend.

If you wish to lose weight, expend more calories than you intake.

Funny, I'd kill to be an insane athlete but I'm just not anymore. Cant run nearly as fast as I could before. If I could, I'd probably be the best basketball player on the high school team, sadly, I didn't even play this year cause I cant run that fast.

What happened? Cause you shouldn't have slowed down that much...naturally.

I may have lost a step since HS, but I'm not that much slower. I could run a 4.8 in HS, now I'm at 4.87/4.9

Brush your teeth and keep your goddamn chemicals out of my water.

People need a real education on what sort of chemicals they ingest, instead of some propaganda BS.

Fluoride Linked to Death

Quote:
Fluoride is a known mutagen, particularly where it is found in concentrated amounts. In the body, fluoride accumulation occurs primarily in the bones, particularly during the developmental years. There, fluoride artificially stimulates bone cell growth, generally in long bones such as the legs and arms, leading to cancerous growths. Osteosarcoma in children, particularly young boys exposed during the bone growth spurt years of five to ten, has been specifically associated with the effects of fluoride exposure.

Fluoride is actually pretty bad for you, but the amounts you consume within your tap water probably won't kill you too quickly. The only time you should generally consume fluoride "naturally" (as in, it hasn't been added to something by a person) is when eating water-creatures (fish, shellfish, etc), which is probably our doing anyways.

Also, dentists may recommend you brush with a toothpaste containing fluoride, but if it's sooooo great and it "cures" your teeth problems, they'll all be out of a job. Why in the world would they want you to use something that will cease their most costly procedures?
