It's not so conspiratorial as you think.

Police are people just like everyone else. They have bad days, they have bad ideas, sometimes they need to chill out. They are not all out to screw everyone over in the name of law and order.

They also are working people just like you and me. If they get an extra few bucks somewhere down the line, because they made money off of fines, you'd better believe they are going to go out of their way to enforce the laws that help them get paid. It's a flawed system, and you can hardly blame them. Money makes the world go round.

To be fair to WvW, there was an incident in my town where a cop said he smelled pot as an excuse to search someone's moped. Not only was he clean, the cop broke his iPod. So yes, there are times when cops cross the line. The system is flawed and there's no way it's gonna be fixed.

But then again, that's only a few cops who really make getting kids their priority, or they're cops that just had a bad day. Most cops aren't like that at all. -CSM

^Thanks. I'm glad you understand. It's happened to me before last year and they tore open a blanket I had in the trunk and took a crowbar to my shifter. They refused to pay the damages too by lying in the police report saying it just popped off easily and that the black mark was already there.
