I was attempting to use rollerskates while on a school trip to a rolling rink. Bad idea. I fell and landed on my left leg, causing it to go into incredible pain. I was moved to a plastic bench where I lied down until my grandmother came to get me. When she did, it took 5 seniors and one teacher to lift me up (I'm a big guy), and another one ran up saying, "I've got his ass," to help when that started to slip. That was funny. So now, I type this while sitting in a full-leg cast, unable to move anywhere else besides the bed. I learned that rollerskating is not for me. Anybody else been through something like this? How did you deal with it? |

Unfortunately, I didn't have the moxie to claim that was my writin' hand, so I still had to do all of the work and everything. You think it sucks now, but just wait until a couple weeks down the line, when it starts to smell. Downright unpleasant, that one. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Something's very wrong, there. ![]() Sorry to hear about your leg. I haven't broken anything, so I can't share experiences or anything. I've heard the worst part of wearing a cast is how itchy it gets, and you can't get in to scratch it. o_O |

I've also broken my ankle and torn my ACL before too. Very unpleasant times, they were. |

Funny you should mention hurting your limbs because just this last weekend, I was playing basketball in my friend's driveway with a couple of friends and his dad. This really tall boy and I were kicking some serious buttock. We were playing over top of everyone's heads and making the best rebounds and the easiest bunny-shots. We won three games in a row! I was doing a little victory dance after a great rebound and my left foot slipped in the grass next to the pavement and down I fell, trying to catch myself with my left arm. Luckily, I just got a severely sprained wrist, and no broken bones, but it still hurt. Well, actually, it didn't hurt until 15 minutes later when the adrenaline kicked off. ![]() |

What really bugs me is that my 2-year old cousin is afraid to get around me now. He just looks at the cast with a worried expression and says, "Chris hurt." | ||

| Awwww sorry to hear you broke your leg!!! I hope it heals very quickly. And, listen to people when they say rest. Don't go over-doing things. *gives you enough marshmallows to play checkers with* I broke my right wrist (I write right-handed) last year at the end of ice-skating and ended up wearing the cast for SEVENTEEN weeks. Because I kept doing "things like normal" with it... (the specialist said I could!! She just had no idea what my idea of "normal" is.) I am currently doing exercises on it every day, five times a day, to get the mobility back in it. It's not as much fun as it may sound. But it's better than listening to ESSDEE telling me she was right all along!! ![]() | |

I did almost smash my skull open by falling down the side of a very very steep hill(more like cliff) to the rocks below. Lucky I managed to grab a tree half way down, or *draws hand across throat while making the noise I don’t know how to spell* Get better soon. |

Injuries suck. I hope you feel better soon!! ![]() |
