For years now, it's been raging. Many lives have been squashed mercilessly. The seeds of life it's self have begun to disappear. ...but will this change? Someone has finally stood up, declaring the war to be rotten. He seeks to end the conflict on both sides. He is young and brash...but he may have a chance. Can he build a force and get to the root of the problem? Only time can tell what our young leader Paple will accomplish... --- btw they're fruits and vegetables --- background because I can't sleep: The US was losing the Revolutionary War badly. However, they were secretly growing mutant fruits and vegetables for usage against the British, just in case of a situation like this. This succeeded, and the fruits and vegetables spread and wiped out humanity. Whoops. The fruits and vegetables lived in harmony...until an unknown event occurred, splintering them into two nations: Fruitannia and the United States of Veggie. War broke out soon after, and has continued for generations. Many have splintered off and created a neutral haven called, "Calfukit", named after the legendary warrior who lead the fruits and vegetables into battle against the humans. Calfukit has hit hard times, and is in tatters, it's citizens in terrible moods. Characters: Paple: A brash young apple. His parents boast that he is a miracle child: the only apple that grew from a mysterious tree. He seeks to end the war between fruits and vegetables. Karot: An old carrot swordsman. His bad-eye sight was caused by a fierce duel in his younger years. He encounters Paple early on his quest. Perry: A silent pear. Childhood trauma supposedly lead to his silence. He is a great user of Healthy Magic. Le'k: A leek of the slums of the United States of Veggie. She is very swift, and is a great bandit. Erango: A Fruitannian general who enjoys the war, as it lets him be with his children. His orders are simple: apprehend Paple. Prouts: An elite force of brussel sprouts sent after Paple's team. It is unknown who they take orders from. Last edited by X-3; 01-20-2010 at 11:33 PM. |

Smart System is a game where a girl with a bionic hand shoots robots. Now, here's the interesting part: By keeping track of how often the player jumps, shoots, etc., the game adapts itself to the player, striking their weaknesses and nullifying their strengths. For example, if the player tends to run around a lot and not keep still, the boss of the level set changes to require patience and caution. If the player is the slow type, the boss requires lots of jumping and movement. So, I have a question! If, say, Mario and The Legend of Zelda could do this, what sorts of puzzles would be included? How else would the games be different? |

Mega Man Solstice - Proffessor Elvin Gadd invents a self-thinking robot named Solstice, which goes berserk and flies off to Earth. Here, he steals Wily's Skull Castle and 9 of his robots and attempts to rule the planet. Thus, Mega Man must stop him. Spongebob Squarepants: The Golden Spatula - Meh, I made an old piece of paper in elementary school with ideas for a Spongebob game, and after finding it recently, I realised it wasn't such a bad idea. I tweaked it a few places, of course. I can't reveal much to you now, but it's an RPG-platformer type game, and it will be a bit darker than most SB games (not grittier, just darker. Like the way MM was compared to OoT). |

Then they suddenly use magic to transport him somewhere else... Kirby wakes up in a cell, where he has a cellmate Waddle Dee. This fellow reveals that he's been trapped for 5 years, and that the group of cloaked monsters have been going around planets, judging the locals and trapping them in an eternal prison dimension. The two plot an escape from their cell, and pull it off. Now, it's up to Kirby and new allies to rescue and stop this strange group. COPY ABILITIES Abilities work a bit differently. You can change into one at (almost) any time, but you must first unlock an ability by performing some task. (ie: eating 5 blade guards for sword) Abilities start at level 1, and gain a level after another task is complete. Leveling up enhances power and abilities. Here's an example of how it would work, I guess: Fire Level 1: Eat 5 Fire Monkeys Level 2: Defeat the boss, Blaze Chimp-Burning Power added Level 3: Rescue Fire Leo or whatever his name is-More stuff added Abilities can be used whenever, but perhaps there would be some sort of limiter that would only allow you to call on a power several times before it needs to be recharged through food or something. I have an idea, but I'm bad at explaining it right now. Maybe later. HELPERS Yeah. After rescuing residents of Dreamland, you'll get pals on your side that you can call on by "sacrificing" a power for a bit. While a helper is out, you cannot use their power, but you gain certain bonuses, in addition to their fighting help. For example, temporarily giving up the Hammer power can summon a freed Bonkers, who will increase the damage you deal while he's out. I guess there would be downsides too, for balance. Like, Wheelie would decrease your defensive power. DOUBLE ABILITY You can combine some abilities to create a new one. While you're using one, you cannot use the helpers of the components: so, for the Beam Sword ability, Sword Knight and Waddle Doo are off-limits, but you can go use Waddle Dee or something. Abilities can grant some bonuses, along with some drawbacks. For example, the Phoenix power will let you come back to life after losing your health, but greatly weaken speed or something. I'm not sure if any of these are good ideas, but if done well they could work, I guess. Maybe this demo will help: --- Kirby fights against a boss, Prisoner Dedede. Kirby uses the Sword Power! He can use it two more times now They fight, and Kirby is knocked out of the power! The power's star bounces around but disappears before Kirby can get it. Kirby summons the Sword Knight helper! He can use the sword power one more time. They fight, and the sword helper is defeated! Quickly, Kirby uses his power to wield the sword once more. He can still use it one more time, like before. He is knocked out of it again, yeah. Kirby combines the Sword and Beam powers! The sword ability has no uses left, while the beam has 2. Better make it count. With upgraded range, Kirby is able to defeat Prisoner Dedede. Oh, the Hammer Power is now level 2! Kirby can now use the hammer swing...thing. The one he does while moving. Go me. Not like guitar hero, but like you beat the **** out of guys with guitars, drum sticks, whatever. Sort of like Celebrity Deathmatch only more Guilty Gear and less Pro Wrestling. Sounds pretty sweet. I always wanted a track-designer function in MK. You know the last F-Zero game, F-Zero Climax has one in it? Only released the game in Japan, of course. Check out the ROM if you've got the time, it's not bad (although it does suffer from the pinball physics that the rest of the GBA games have). Last edited by Cosmonautical; 04-27-2010 at 01:31 AM. It respectively has 3 normal playable stories to start with. Link/Ganon/Zelda You effectively go through each story fighting in Overhead/1-D, Sideview/2-D, and All-Around/3-D. If anything, one could say it's almost like a Boss Rush, in a sense. By defeating it with each character, you unlock Dark Link/Ganondorf/Sheik depending who you're playing. Going through it again with the new characters unlock Toon Link/Phantom Ganon/Tetra. Along the way, defeating different enemies unlock them in VS Mode. You still have a decent selection to go from, including the 9 playable 1Player mode characters and some others to start from. Specific playable characters include(VS Mode, any in parenthises are alternate costumes unlockable with differences): Goron(Dangoro), Zora(Zola), Deku Scrub, Wizzrobe, Moblin(Giant), Bokoblin, Stalfos(Knight), Darknut(Phantom), Daira(Horsehead), Armos(Knight), Onox, Veran, Odowalda, Twinrova, Lizalfos(Dinolfos), Wolfos(White), Midna & Wolf Link, Iron Knuckle, Gerudo(Pirate), Igos Du Ikana(Soldier 1, Soldier 2), Ghini(Big), Poe(Reapling)[I realize that the Poe and Ghini are similar in idea, but they're very different as is], Garo Master, Goriya, Skull Kid(TP version), Aeralfos, Ball & Chain Trooper(Darkhammer), Zant(Phantom Zant), King Bulbin(Horseless). I'll edit in more. I'm tired, yiesh. |

CADOLUNA In a fantastic world of magic and adventure, an unlikely band of heroes must prevent a world-changing disaster due to occur on the day of Cadoluna - when the moon falls to the earth. It's a platformer with randomly generated levels and at least 5 playable characters. The disaster is really this: The moon is really an egg for a giant snake that tries to eat the world. |

Time and time again, he comes to her aid. Once again, the Princess has been kidnapped. Clonio jumps into action...and then falls through the solid floor of his house. Huh. It seems his whole world has been...changed. Invisible walls, items that do nothing, enemies with unlikely and inconsistent powers and other oddities appear. The world may have changed, but our hero hasn't (yet)! He moves forward, ready to beat up the Walrus King and save the princess. You can see where this is going...or can you!? |

You have an internal hemorrhoid. You know this because you are bleeding profusely. You go to the doctor, and s/he does unpleasant things to you and confirms that it is, indeed, an internal hemorrhoid. You ask what can be done to stop the bleeding, but the doctor just says "Wah wah wah wah wah wah." You interpret this as meaning that you just have to wait for it to stop bleeding. Your objective is to deal with the good grief this hemorrhoid is causing you. If you win, you get to kiss the red haired girl on the cheek. Only for Nintendo 64! |

| Join Date: Jul 2001 Location: Loading...... Gender: Posts: 7,289 Thanks: 26 Thanked 493 Times in 201 Posts Blog Entries: 1 | I'll use this topic to post this. It could theoretically be a mini-game inside some other game, so yeah. In high school I thought of a way too complicated and messy collectible card game. That idea later evolved into Arrows. It was much simpler, but still couldn't be recreated well without a ton of effort. But now, I thought of... Hyper Arrows (may not be official title). It makes the rules a lot shorter while still keeping the concept that where you place your cards are just as important as using the right ones. To play, you need a grid like this: ![]() The two "S" marks are each player's starting spot, and the "G"s are the two Goal spots. To win, you need to use cards to make a path from your S to one of the G's, while stopping your opponent from doing the same. This would probably go pretty fast, so a match may consist of the best 4 out of 7 "rounds". Once somebody reaches a Goal, all cards are reshuffled and a new round starts. It's interesting how as I've gotten older I've transitioned over to subtractive design. The simpler something is, the better. Instead of two players going against each other with their own deck, here both players would be using one central deck, like in UNO and stuff. At the start, both players draw 5-7 square-shaped cards and randomly choose who goes first. Each player can then put a card anywhere on the grid, or they can pass their turn and draw 2 cards. If you place a card with arrows on the grid next to another, it has to match the color of all arrows it touches. Keep building a path like this to the Goal, and you win the round! Simple enough, right? Of course, I've also thought of several types of cards the opponent can use to make your life miserable. They can destroy your cards on the grid, move or rotate them (without causing an illegal match), redirect your path, or simply place a path card near the goal you're going for so you have to get just the right card which matches the colors in EVERY direction. You have ways to counter some of these though. Whenever you play a card, you have the option to "protect" it by placing a chip in the center of it. When protected, the opponent can not use that card for their own path. More importantly, that card is locked in place and can't be destroyed or moved. However, you only get a small number of these "protect chips" to use throughout the entire match, so you have to use them very wisely. And one more thing. If you're bold enough to create a path that goes from your Start spot all the way to your opponent's Start spot, you win instantly, no matter how many rounds behind you were. ![]() Here are some possible cards I drew up while I didn't have much else to do: ![]() More later, maybe.
