Yeah, I run a Sonic RPG and was once a staff member at Sonic Retro. Sonic's my main business, even though I work at so many Mario things.

Sonic Chronicles has a really repetitive leveling up scheme, poorly antialiased graphics, and horrible music. The story is the only thing which is decent, and even that is ripped off from the Archie comics.

Not a lot I can suggest without knowing what you've already played, man. I've never played a Sonic game I actually liked, though I've given plenty of them a fair shot, so I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend any of the series. Other than that... well, what kind of genres are you looking for? And again, what have you played already, so we can fulfil the "different" requirement.
