Games 3000 new 'words' being added to the game include: "Thang" (slang, "thing". It's not actually slang, though; it's just an accent.) "Grrl" (slang, "girl". I don't get how they determined how many Rs to use.) "Innit" (phonetic spelling of a slurred "isn't it") "Blingy" (adjective form of "bling", & thus actually a word) "Qin" (a Chinese zither, & thus actually a word) "Fiqh" (an expansion of Sharia law, & thus actually a word) These will join the legendary non-word "za" & the legendary waste of blank tiles "zzz". And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I can understand hating slang words in such an venerable institution as Scrabble, but the English language is always screwing itself over. I look forward to more Internet-speak appearing in the dictionary, so when I have to do a vowel dump, I can just put down FFUUUUU-. Last edited by Ace Mercury; 05-12-2011 at 07:38 AM. |

I can live with thang. But grrl? It sounds like a tiger choked in the middle of growling. |

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |
