Being in Virginia, I was hit pretty hard. Lasted for a good twenty or thirty seconds. I was cooking ramen and some of the boiling water spilt onto me, though.

I was going through something emotional during that time, so I already felt as if the earth was shaking beneath me.

That's what the general feeling seems to be. I have friends in the Boston area (where they actually evacuated some places) who felt absolutely nothing and experienced no damage.
