Wow. That's, uh, that's pretty epic there. Too bad the name doesn't really reflect that. The name kind of reflects striking random keys on a keyboard, and going "Huh, well....that's not TOO bad..."

That reminds me of Johnson's Shut-Ins, except GIGANTIC (& correspondingly, much more dangerous to swim in).

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's a transliteration of a chinese name - the original name is probably only three characters long.

Uh, dude, it's the Chinese name for their waterfall (at least, as near as I could tell; I saw it called two other names while looking it up). I don't know what it might translate to, but I personally think Tianxingqiao sounds awesome as hell.

Any name with both an x and a q is instantly awesome.

Quixote is a pretty nice name.

But yeah, that's beautiful. I'm trying to guess at how it ended up shaped like that.

Are we doing beautiful places no-one has heard of? Here's Atlasov Island, an almost perfect volcano rising out of the water in the Kuril Islands.

'Tianxingqiao' sounds like the onomotopoeia for one of those crazy bullet ricochet sound effects you hear in old westerns.

^I could say something funny like "Ti-an-;sf;las;jlf", but I think it's actually "Ti-an-zing-chow".

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

....I can play at this too.

1.Go to google maps and switch to “Map view” so that only roads and basic geographical outlines are marked.
2. Now do a search for “Gruinard Island”.
3. Should be an island near scotland.
4. Now click on “Satellite view”.

I believe it's "tee-an-zing-key-ow", but I'm not super familiar with Chinese pronunciations.
