Lest We Forget

A field of poppies... and that many flowers doesn't even begin to cover the numbers of dead from war. :/

I will adopt a white poppy, as well, on this day and pray that the next amazing discovery in this world will be true peace!!

There should be more hugging on this planet...

I think I'll throw in a puppy to add to your poppies.

My family has had military personnel; pilots and servicemen. I hope future generations don't have to see warfare as those before have. I observed the minute of silence at 11am in respect of those who have died in wars.

Little known fact. The leaf on the poppy, is suppose to be at 11 o'clock.

I've been wearing my poppy with pride.

...Wow, this is kind of ironic. Because, at least within the confines of the internet, I've been doing a lot of hugging lately. >.>

Sad effin fact (as if anyone didn't know): Veterans' Day was originally Armistice Day, a no-less-solemn celebration of an end to the War to End All Wars (aka World War One). I bet the simple fact of the name-change would have made any WWI veterans weep blood.
