I got a blue betta fish and named it Gyarados

and my sister got a red betta fish so I call it the red Gyarados.

I figured that story was relevant to all of your everyday lives.

Anyone else name their pets after videogame characters/creatures?

If I ever get a dog, I'll name it General Pepper.

^Of course, you'll teach it to roll over.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

When we first got my dog, he was very slow and mellow so we thought it would be hilarious to ironically name him Sonic.

.... he is now the most hyper ball of activity I have ever met. Fitting name, although it wasn't originally intended to be.

Congratulations on your new bettas!!

I usually name my fish after racing drivers... but I haven't named my fish this time. However, I did name my muscle after "Sheldon"...

And coincidentally, I got three new fish today... Glowlight Tetras. (While I was away, SD sadly informed me that my tank crashed and all except one fish didn't make it... Apparently, they must have drove too fast and it got too hot... SD replaced three tetras and I got the rest today!!)

I have a school of happy various-species-of-tetras once again... all getting along with a tankful of shrimp!!!
