Compared to the first, it sucked really bad. Ok, before you kill me, I enjoyed it. I thought it was funny, and the action was awesome. The action scenes were some of the best ever. BUT FOR DEAR LORD, The romance in that movie was the absolute worst and corniest thing I've ever seen. It was so FRIGGEN annoying. MJ:"Oh, do you love me, Peter." PP:"I don't know if I love you." MJ:"But I know that you love me." PP:"But I don't know if I know if I love you." MJ:"But I know that you know that you really love me." PP:"I'm not sure if I'm sure I know I'm ready to love you." MM:"I love someone else, but I'm sure that you know that I know that you know that you love me." PP:"But I have to be Spiderman now. I'm an IDIOT who has to many problems and doesn't realize that a HOT girl is in front of me who wants me BAD." MJ:"Oh wait, I'm getting married to someone else." PP:"Oh poo, I'm sad now." MJ:"Oh wait, I don't want to marry him, I love you." PP:"But I don't know if I know if I can love you." (Continue until Peter Parker SOMEHOW gets the girl ANYWAY, in spite of the fact that he was a complete JERK and IDIOT through the ENTIRE MOVIE) The dialogue in that movie completely SUCKED. It was so bad, it started to just be funny. It was so terrible. My God, it was like watching the terrible love scenes in Star Wars Episode II. So...yeah...that's what I thought. Oh, and I don't think they could have made it any more OBVIOUS that they want to make a DAMN SEQUEL. Oh, and what's the deal with everyone knowing that he's Spiderman now. Doesn't that, like, ruin the whole point if everyone knows he's Spiderman? Wee...-jay [ July 01, 2004, 09:17 PM: Message edited by: Perrin Aybara ] |

As of now it's been advances in science gone wrong. Beliveable. Suddenly throwing an alien into the mix would be absurd. Some things just don't translate to screen and Venom/Carnage would be a couple of those things. |

Personally, I think the Lizard is a much more interesting villain than Carnage. Sure, it'd be really cool to see Carnage go crazy all over the city, but the Lizard has a much more interesting concept and personality and everything. Not to mention that introducing and explaining the symbiote, doing the whole symbiote saga, and introducing Brock and having him gain the symbiote and everything would take at least 2 movies. I think there were like 5 Green Goblins. I know there was at least one after Harry. I think that Mysterio would be a really cool villain to use, too. |

If that scientist works at Oscorp, it would be easy to make him The Lizard, but it also leaves room for a different creation of many supervillains. Ex --The Scorpion. he was an experiment gone wrong, and quite a good character. As for Carnage and Venom, they would need to be in two seperate movies entirely, so i doubt we'll be seeing them soon. ... Much to my bitter dissapointment... 8] |

When Spider-Man 3 comes out, I'm thinking the 2nd Green Goblin and Demon lizard. Wasn't that the real name as I remember it? Demon Lizard? |

Or in lighter terms, it was good, but it wasn't as great as everyone else is making it out to be. -jay By the way, how is anyone supposed to relate to Mary Jane, the world's biggest slut? [ July 02, 2004, 11:54 AM: Message edited by: Perrin Aybara ] |

The Action scenes had me in awe, on the side of the Building, The tower, the Train...It was all to perfect. But Jay was right, The Dialouge was pretty lame. Edit: Oh Yes, I forgot. I fail, I like Song Vindicated that plays during the credits. ._. |

And Jay... I'll admit, the dialog was a bit... strained... at times. "I love you, but I can't know if you know if I know if you care if I know if you know I'm Spiderman!!!" |

You have to do it to appreciate fiction. So I think I get the script. Although, I must admit, it was very corny at times, I think they were aiming towards the comic book and Spidey feel. Comics tend to be over the top, and Spider-man always had a light mood to it. This also explains some of the ridiculous scenes, like the "Parker is a new man" and "MJ leaves her wedding" parts. And how can you forget the whole train aftermath? Hahahaha, wow. The thing is, that style comes off very odd in live-action. But it isn't that bad if you try to keep the intent in mind. The computer animation wasn't as horrible as I expected. It was still overused, but whatever. Continuity issue: How did Doc Ock sneak out of Harry's room? DOESN'T HE STOMP EVERYWHERE?! And...lol...no one saw him squeeze out of the room? Sorry director, but you can't just make a really loud character with huge metalic arms as silent as a ghost for one scene. My friend and I started cracking up. Harry becomes Green Goblin 2. John Jameson is Man-Wolf, and Dr. Connors is the Lizard, but I don't know if they'll use those for the next movie. It's expected that movie versions of comic books will be "based on," because comic series themselves have like 8976918 different timelines. And MJ knowing that he's Spider-Man IS accurate.
