Heck, my best friend probably already has tickets to every showing tomorrow. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

BLATANT SPOILERS BELOW This was the Jesus Christ of summer movies. There was absolutely nothing I disliked, and I'm one of the pickiest people you'll ever meet. Ever. All the cliffhangers from the first film are taken care of including Aunt Mae finding out who was really responsible for Ben's death, MJ and Peter's relationship is explored, and Harry finds the remains of his father's Green Goblin suit. END SPOILERS Alfred Molina is perfect for the part of Doctor Octopus. There could be no better actor. Also, those metal arms are friggin' scary. Don't be fooled. If you loved Spidey 1, you'll want this one to bear your children. |

Maybe film of the year fo this year. I thought Doc Ock was goign to be lame until I saw Alfred Molina with eight arms. how they made the action that awesome I don't know but I envy them. A lot. Wow. |

Instead of retreading the first film, they ventured deeper into the characters and story in a way that kept me interested till the very end, when they started playing that crappy song (the only bad part of the movie). Y'know, I wish Freddy Mercury were still alive, then Queen could've done the end credits song, like they did for Flash Gordon. |

I had been very afraid that it'd just be a kind of simplistic movie where Spiderman beats on Doc Ock... but I was wrong. He doesn't just have one enemy or one goal at any given time... just like real life. I loved seeing the professor who I'm sure will become Lizardman at some point. My brother says that he saw on MSN that Lizardman's gonna be the next villain, followed by the Green Goblin again, then "Man Wolf", who I kind of remember but not really. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but it could be... who knows. Anyway, it was a great movie! |

And I agree that Venom and Carnage would be awesome, but it would cost a lot of money to make all the special effects for them. Didn't they mention Eddie Brock in the first movie? Something that Jonah said, right? Alfred Molina is probably the best actor for Doc Ock. Toby Maguire reminds me of Christopher Daniel Barnes, the actor who did the series in the early 90's. The one thing I was a little shaky about was the whole "We won't tell anybody" thing on the subway. It seemed just a bit too cheesy, but otherwise, the movie was perfect. I loved the fight scenes, they were just so exciting. I think this was the only time i've seen the "Matrix dodge" and not thing "Damn, that's way over used." . . . . . . . . . . . There were about four different hobgoblins. In the comics, there were two Green Goblins: Norman Osbourne and Harry. The hobgoblin is some guy Harry hired to take up his job before he went insane, if I remember - the Green Goblin is Harry's alter ego. Fitting, too, because Harry's even more of a lunatic than his dad. . . . . . . . . . . . . [end spoiler] And Venom and Carnage aren't very likely candidates for the next movie ebcause you'd have to explain the backstories of the symbiote AND introduce Brock. Beyond that, the villain in the next movie would have to play second fiddle to a certain someone who we're all familiar with if we've see S-M2. My guess would be the Lizard, because his scientific background (and, if I remember, his working for Oscorp) puts him in a great position to be used in the next film. Even if he doesn't get top billing, any fight involving him would be so cool. | |
