All that aside, Natalie Portman is still hot.

This movie will suck, period. Makes you wonder why George Lucas didn't start from the begining (well isn't that such an odd concept).

A few observations about the Star Wars prequels:

1.) George Lucas as a story teller is overrated. I've read better plots from fan-fiction internet hacks.

2.) Its extremely sad when the writers, animators, and video game designers of the extended universe come up with better ideas than the creator. Knights of the Old Republic? Any of the extended fiction books? That Clone Wars miniseries on CN? Come on...they skunk Ep. I and II in terms of development, quality, story, and overall feel.

3.) I always thought Star Wars had some space battles in it. Episode I had "obnoxious ****head kid accidentally blows up ship." Episode two had....well, nothing.

4.) I think its quite pathetic to have Jedi slaughtered in Episode II by creatures that I could kill with a can of RAID Flying Insect repellant.

5.) Yoda's lightsaber acrobatics makes no sense, especially when he has a limp.

6.) Setting the prequels too close to the original trilogy is retarded. Actually showcasing the clone wars would have been cool though.

7.) The dumbest thing ever said in film: "There can only be two sith....a master and an apprentance." Yeah dude, thanks for screwing out the entire extended universe with that one. Thanks for shattering the dreams of everyone who wanted to see Dark Jedis and Light Jedis fight.

8.) Droids of any kind (save HK-47) should be melted down for scrap and never included in a movie. C3P0 and R2D2 had no place in the movie. Lucas needs to stop being an idiot and think about how rediciously random it seems to have Luke Skywalkers' droids magically be created and owned by his father. NO. BAD. Droid armys are stupid. I'm sorry, jedi's should not have any problems against a blaster wielding droid, even if there are five million of them. Droid armies are almost as idiotic as Wasp armies.

9.) Developing characters to kill them off prematurely is ****ing stupid. I have an idea: Lets make this old man a jedi master, and make him somewhat rebellious towards the council, and develop him more than that stupid obnoxious kid (who was cast far too young) or Obi Wan, and then KILL HIM OFF.

10.) Tatooine should be wiped out by the Death Star. Words cannot describe my hatred for that setting. MAKE NEW PLANETS. STOP RECYCLING OLD IDEAS. tatooine is like a ****tier version of Arakis from Dune. Whereas both have desert people that love to piss people off, Arakis at least has those cool looking Sandworms and spice. Tatooine has some rocks.

Basically, IMO, Lucas should have taken a hands off approach since day one. Pick some of the better extended fiction writers and get them to develop the story. It would come out much better than this crap.

Darth Bane setting down the whole "one master, one apprehtice" thing does indeed suck. But that doesn't keep Dark Jedi out of the game - they just won't be Sith.

....that would be cool as Hell for Ep 3.

Yeah, it would. Too bad George Lucas is a dumbass and wouldn't do it.

Maybe if he had started from the beginning, we would've remembered him better, as the ****ty ones would've come before the good ones... but no. They'd all probably suck hard had he done that.

They make even less sense when you consider its bastardisation of the Jedi's "Way of the Sword" theology.

Wyborn's right far too many people don't know the distinction between a Dark Jedi and a Sith.....

Any Jedi that submitts to the Darkside of the force is a Dark Jedi. But a force sensitive person instructed in the ancient ways of the Sith is a Sith. And I actually don't mind the one apprentice rule. Darth Bane had damn good reason to make that rule after seeing the weak little idiots calling themselves Lords of the Sith shortly before the great Jedi/Sith war ended with both sides being devoured by the "Thought Bomb".

Big deal. They have Jedi Masters running around like crazy, why the crap can't evil people do the same? It doesn't even fit with the character mentality of dark jedi. People that lust for power aren't just going to say "Oh well, I can ONLY be a dark jedi master and NOT a Sith because THATS THE RULES." Furthermore, why didn't Darth Maul have a herd of dark-jedi minions in Ep. 1? Why didn't they have any in Ep. 2? Do you mean to tell me that the forces of evil wouldn't train some force-enabled lackies? They're a hell of a lot better than wasps and mosquitos or droids.

GOD. I hated that little kid. That's one of the reasons I liked Episode II better (I seem to be a minority in this, too).

And Lurch makes very good points. Lucas's need for nostalgia in the prequels has thoroughly ruined the Star Wars timeline.

Well, the title sure beats Attack of the Clones.

I think I tried to write a story called Attack of the Clones... In Kindergarten.
