It may interest some of you comic book connoisseurs to know that Frank Miller's masterful 'Sin City' series is getting the cinema treatment. Miller himself is co-directing the project (alongside Robert Rodriguez of 'El Mariachi/Desperado' fame), which is going to feature Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Mickey Rourke, Michael Madsen, and Bruce Willis, among others. From the character names available at the IMDB, it appears that the first movie's gonna cover the first comic series and 'The Big Fat Kill'.

Oh, and, apparently, Rodriguez is set on filming all the stories in the series at some point, so we can probably expect sequels, as well.

Seen a couple different posters online. None at my local multiplex, though--I was there on Monday for 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Team America' (both of which are pretty damned cool, incidentally), and the only posters around were for Spongebob, that new Pixar superhero movie, and that 'Unfortunate Events' thing. Damn hippies.
