Who wants it and/or has it? I just got it for my birthday! I can't wait! Three great movies in one SET!! This will make me un-waitable for the third/sixth movie.

DISCUSS!

I don't own it (yet), but I have borrowed it from a friend and seen all the extras. I think it's a great collection despite some changes Lucas made (even more changes than the '97 releases). I can hardly wait for Episode III either.

I have only seen the '97 releases(the downside to being a 90's baby, I missed EVERYTHING!!).

I've never seen the originals either. It's not all bad what he added, though, and he said that this is the way how he always wanted to make the movies.

He changed the old Darth Vader guy as the ghost thing into the guy who plays Ani.

George Lucas is a big stupid.

Let's see...granted, it's only a five-second shot, but Lucas chose to take Sebastian Shaw (a real live Shakespearean actor) out of the undead photo-op at the end of the movie, and replace him with Hayden Christiansen, aka Mannequin Skywalker. Hmmmm. Definitely the right thing to do, never mind that it doesn't make a lick of sense! I'll buy that for a dollar!

I bought it. A bit pricey, but worth it.

The only thing that pissed me off was, of course, the "new" Jedi ending.

Right. That was the only thing that bothered me too. I didn't even notice that Boba Fett's voice was changed.

But why does Greedo shoot first? Lucas can't cover that up with his "what I originally wanted to do" excuse, because he could have done that in the original. I'm sure Greedo's gun would have the exact same special effect as Han's gun. If Georgie Porgie wanted Greedo to shoot first before, then it would have been in the old one.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I got it too, and I also have the originals on VHS. All in all it was probably worth the money, just to have them on DVD... and at least he took out Luke screaming as he fell. *shudder*

And I can't wait for Episode III either...

You're right. This is one of the changes I dislike. Of course I have only seen the version where Greedo shoots first, but when I heard that in the original Han just shoot him I thought it was ridiculous that he changed it.

^Lucas put in Greedo shooting first because he thought it originally looked like Han was just gunning Greedo down in cold blood. (Of course, Lucas is probably the only person who saw it that way. I mean, Greedo has his gun out and is actively threatening Han; Han is clearly acting out of self-defense, whether Greedo shoots first or not.)
