Stupidity in Movies and Television.

What's your opinion on shows and movies who have complete and total DUMBASSES as main characters?
I don't like it much. There are a few exceptions (( Ed,Edd,N Eddy,Johnny Bravo,Billy and Mandy )).

The old Johnny Bravo's could REALLY pull it off, those were funny.

I do not at all like shows or movies that have total dumbasses as the main character(s). That's one of the main reasons why Mucha Lucha and Spongebob suck ass.

Stupidity can be a great source of comedy, but a lot of shows just don't feature the kind of writing talent to make it (or anything else) funny.

Ed's much better than the other dumbasses since he's a mindless Hulk that says random stuff and believes stuff in comic books(ATTACK TEH WIBBLES!!!).

And one of those examples of "so stupid it's funny" is Codename Kids Next Door. Sure, the early ones are crap, but the more recent ones are actually quite entertaining provided you don't expect anything watchable.

Like I care anyways. I myself very very rarley watch Codename Kids Next Door in the first place, so probably only like 1/10 of the current episodes are so unwatchable they're funny. (Though Numbah 3's still annoying as hell.)

Actually, now that I think about it, there are a lot of shows that are hilarious and have total dumbasses as major characters (The Simpsons, Family Guy, Invader Zim, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Space Ghost). Forget what I said earlier.

Fry (Futurama)

Hell I think most comedies have a dumbass in there to laugh at. Except maybe seinfeld, none of the characters are particually stupid.

Most stupid humor isn't really good at all. The most recent thing I can think of is Spongebob, which is horrible, in my opinion. However, Ed Edd and Eddy is good because, even though there's a fool, it's got some witty humor there.
