The trailer for Tim Burton's version of Charlie and the Chocolate factory is now up.

I would try to describe it, but I think Harry Knowles (of Ain't It Cool News) says it best:
Quote:
The trailer is on 99 flavors of crack without a square of Charmin to wipe. It's mondo bizarro - and it scares me. Mommy, I wanna go home! Johnny Depp looks... well... he looks... He looks like he's coming for your soul. And he knows it is delicious! And that dentist. Man, you walk into a dentist office and see that man with tooth tools... RUN! The film looks absolutely unhinged, as a Wonka film should. And that song... it is playing and replaying in my mind like a damnedable jingle of mouseketeer sirens luring me to my death. BEWARE! This is some SCARY Stuff. Dahl might have been quite proud of this version of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY...
I big a big fan of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and, heck, even Willy Wonka. I'm definitely seeing this movie next year.

Anyways, you can see the kiddie/psycho trailer at:

^Tim's actually going to go by the original book this time, though. And that will be very very cool.

Hear, hear. Gene Wilder was awesome enough for me. I don't need Depp mucking up my childhood. *watches trailer anyway*

Technically, the movie is NOT a remake. It's just a second adaptation of the book.

But, then again, Planet of the Apes is also based on a book. However, I think Tim Burtan's Apes is more a remake than Tim Burtan's Factory.

Oh, my head is starting to hurt.

I plan on going to see it, even if it blows, because Johnny Depp can make anything watchable. ^___^ I even plan on watching the Neverland movie some time and I can't stand Peter Pan. O.o

Willy Wonka looks an awful lot like Michael Jackson there.

-A Genius (It's pretty kickass, actually.)

Fast fact: One of the kids in Finding Neverland plays Charlie in the movie.

One of my favorite lady-friends is a huge Johnny Depp fan, and Willy Wonka rocks my socks. Put two and two together, folks.
