Smithers was a whole lot funnier when he was only ambiguously gay. Now that they've turned him into flaming gay, it's just stupid.

Controvercy does not equal funny.

Personally, I know I'm sick of the stupid "OMFG I'm Gay!" jokes. They just aren't funny. I'm sure most other people are sick of it as well.

Heh, Dan Patrick talked about this for like 20 minutes. Some listener wrote in and informed him that in the episode with gay pride parade in front on the Simpsons home, Smithers and Patti/Selma are seen dancing on a float.

And Smithers is out, so I'd bet money on Patti or Selma.

Meh, it was cool when they killed off someone, but this is dumb. I don't see how can they "go" anywhere with this.

Anywho they killed off Maude Flanders, Bleeding Gums Murphy and Dr. Marvin Monroe.

Patty and Selma can't be gay. It'd be a mockery of what dignity it still has, according to you guys. Personally it think it's still as good as ever, but this is just sad. This coming from it's biggest fan (you can't deny this, I've loved it through thick and thin) means something is wrong.

I don't know how Monroe died. I think they just had him vanish for no reason.

Bleeding Gums Murphy died in that episode with Bart eating the jagged Krusty-O. Bart was taken to the hospital to get is appendix removed, and Lisa ran into Murphy in the hospital. He died about halfway through the episode, but I don't remember what he had, if they even said.

Maude died in this episode where there was some temporary race track in Springfield. Maude and Flanders were seated at the very top of the backless bleachers with the Simpsons directly in front of them. During intermission Maude went to go get some hot dogs, and some cheerleaders started shooting t-shirts out of some bazookas at the audience. Homer taunted the girls for one by drawing a target on his stomach and flashing hismelf, then bent over for a quarter or something as the girls shot t-shirt from one of those t-shirt shooters. Maude was coming back with hot dogs, got pegged by the t-shirt, knocked off the back of the bleachers... and... well... splat.

That episode with Ned dating that Movie actress was kinda sad in the beggining, where every couple was dancing but Ned had nobody......

It's not really original either, as South Park already did so with Mr Garrison in Season 4. I thought it was funny how he went from a homophobic closet homosexual to the pervert he is now.

Marvin never died, I think. He appeared in the episode where Marge writes a romance novel, and she talks to him when he's wanting to get an autograph.

And Comic Book Guy... well, he's strange. He's dated both Bart's teacher (I can't spell her name T_T) and Ednus Skinner (GOOD LORD, SHE'S WHAT, 80??!). However, in the episode where Homer makes his website, CBG is looking at porn, and then he says something about venturing across or other crap when he's going to click on Mr. X's homepage.

No, he's dead. They've said that he's dead at least twice. Once in the 138th Episode Extravaganza, and the other in that episode Maude died.

They also killed that Grimes character, which I thought was pretty lame.
