Some movies that would probably make my top list. Matrix 1 Shrek Return of the King Last Samurai House of Flying Daggers *shrug* I'm probably forgetting a lot of movies. Rest of the list would probably be comedies. Too hard to pick though. [ January 30, 2005, 10:17 PM: Message edited by: Marth ] |

My favourite film (for the last few years) has been Donnie Darko. There was a point when I watched the movie every month for nearly a year. Some movies the recently stick out in my mind are Shaun of the Dead, Garden State, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Basically my view is, if I like it, I'll watch it. |

It baffles people that I only have 4 list, as opposed to the more common 5 or 10. 1) Head 2) UHF 3) The Princess Bride 4) Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

The kind of people who WERE into the stuff they did in the film were too prejudiced against the band to see the film. Many of those who didn't know the Monkees were in it (due to the obscure ad campaign) walked out of the theater the instant Micky ran onscreen in scene 1. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

It combines excellent kung-fu action, high-quality special effects, and outstanding over-the-top scenery-chewing performances by the entire cast (especially Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa); the result is a fast-paced, entertaining, kinetic work of cinematic art. Oh, and it features 'Techno Syndrome', mankind's crowning musical achievement. |

I declare that to be your opinion. I further declare your opinion to be null and void, as it disagrees with mine and is thus obviously incorrect. Oh, and 'Mortal Kombat: Annihilation' is great. Loads better than your so-called 'Garden State', anyhow. (Inasmuch as I have not seen 'Garden State', or even know what it's about, I dismiss it on the basis of its having the word 'garden' in the title. I'm nothing if not objective.) | |
